Make Your Parent/Guardian Promise

Please fill in the information below to participate. We will then send you a copy of your pledge. (Or you ou can download a copy here and mail it to the address on the form.) Once you have signed up, we will add your name to the password-protected database (here) and e-mail you the password, so you can view the list of participating families.

IN HONOR OF ADAM, OUR BRILLIANT STAR — FRIEND, BROTHER, SON, TEAMMATE

I promise:

Never to ride in a car without a seatbelt.
Never to drive too fast, because where I’m going will be there, whether I’m five minutes early or 50 minutes late.
Never to drive after drinking, because I cannot understand how impaired I may be.
Never to drive after putting anything in my body that may limit my ability to think, understand and react.
Never to text while I drive, because the message is never more important than my life.

Furthermore, as a parent or guardian, I promise:

To actively chaperone all gatherings in my home or on my property, regardless of whether my or another teen doesn’t like it.
To welcome calls from other parents whose children have been invited to my home.
To prohibit the possession or use of alcohol or drugs by underage youth in my home or on my property.
To prevent from driving any teen in my home or on my property who appears to be high or intoxicated – and to alert his or her parents.
